RSAU is a design practice working in the fields of architecture, urban design, landscape architecture and research. It was established by Roi Salgueiro Barrio in 2007.
RSAU’s work is trans-scalar. The firm has designed masterplans, educational, cultural and civic facilities, public spaces, and small interiors. In this disparity of situations, RSAU’S projects often find that to introduce systems that bring a new spatial and scalar order tends to be the most radical and interesting proposition. The projects seek systematic solutions; rules that can act as guiding principles but that also admit unexpected deviations.
RSAU’s work has received numerous awards in competitions of architecture, urban design and landscape architecture. Additionally, the firm’s built interventions in public space obtained the recognition of the Institute of Galician Architects.
